Cooking with Fire Friday with Delhaven Gaelic/Celtic Music

Part of our new Cooking by the Fire Friday series, we love brining people together to enjoy food, drinks and music! Our intimate kitchen party style social dining events are memorable and you leave with great memories and new friends. Enjoy dinner, entertainment and the beauty of Scots Bay on a summer evening!

Just steps from the Beach at Scott's Bay Provincial Park, The Long Table Social Club enjoys a gorgeous view of the Bay and it's amazing sunsets (on a clear day).  This Cooking with Fire culinary and social dinging experience will have you mix and mingle with other guests, sitting together at long tables, eating and drinking great local food while listening to good music.

Musician Bio:

Led by multi-instrumentalist Jenny Melvin, Delhaven is a Nova Scotian band that plays traditional and original Gaelic music. Decades of immersion, education and respect for the tradition result in an engaging yet sensitive musical experience. Woven together with maritime and scottish influences, Delhaven have a deep passion for local traditions in music, dance and storytelling, which the group crafts through thoughtful instrumental music in English, Gaeillge and Scottish Gaelic. Scott Henderson lends his powerful touch on the pipes and Morgan Davison delivers stirring vocals, while Pat Madden supports the intricate melodies with subtle rhythm guitar and tenor banjo. Event Details: 

Please arrive between 6pm and 6:30pm to enjoy the event to the fullest. If the weather is good enough, we will be outside on the patio. If not, we will reserve inside for ticketed guests. This is a ticketed event, advanced tickets are required to guarantee a spot. Tickets are $16 (plus tax and fees) to cover the cost of entertainment. Please select one of two dining options, prix fixe or a la carte when purchasing your ticket. For this event we will have two dining options and we will not be serving our regular Dinner menu. Please purchase your ticket according to the type of meal that you would like to purchase.

2. A la carte Menu

Prix Fixe Menu:

($65 for all 5 courses)

1. Potato pancake 

2. Irish stew and soda bread

3. Guinness and Irish cheddar macaroni and cheese

4. Bangers & Mash with honey glazed carrots and parsnips

5. Chocolate stout cupcakes with Bailey's frosting

A la carte menu

($25 for one dish plus set dessert)

1. Bowl of Irish stew and soda bread

2. Guinness and Irish cheddar macaroni and cheese with garlic bread

3. Bangers & Mash with honey glazed carrots and parsnips

4. Baked lemon dill haddock with mashed potatoes and honey glazed carrots and parsnips

5. Conquered Cape Split burger with mashed potatoes

6. Bay burger with mashed potatoes

7. Tofu Avocado Buddha Bowl

Kids menu ($10)

1. Kids plan or cheese burger with mashed potatoes

2. Grilled chicken breast with rice and carrots

3. Grilled cheese sandwich with mashed potatoes

4. Kids plain cheesy nachos

Please select your meal type in advance when purchasing your advanced ticket. Substitutions will not be permitted during the dinner.

Our style is casual and we encourage you to dress in layers since we are near the ocean and the weather can get cool near sundown! Shirts and shoes required please! Weather permitting, we will be dining outside so please dress according to the weather by the Bay of Fundy!
