Cooking with Fire Friday with the Voodoo Charmers

Part of our new Cooking by the Fire Friday series, we love brining people together to enjoy food, drinks and music! Our intimate kitchen party style social dining events are memorable and you leave with great memories and new friends. Enjoy dinner, entertainment and the beauty of Scots Bay on a summer evening!

Just steps from the Beach at Scott's Bay Provincial Park, The Long Table Social Club enjoys a gorgeous view of the Bay and it's amazing sunsets (on a clear day).  This Cooking with Fire culinary and social dinging experience will have you mix and mingle with other guests, sitting together at long tables, eating and drinking great local food while listening to good music.

Musician Bio:

The Voodoo Charmers are a blues rock band from Wolfville, NS. The band plays original as well as cover songs and are inspired by the blues legends of yesteryear. The current lineup of the band has been together since 2020. The band members are:

Joe Caldwell- lead guitar and vocals

David Davidson- bass guitar and vocals

Stéphane Richard- drums and vocals

Keir Pothier-West- rhythm guitar

Event Details: 

Please arrive between 6pm and 6:30pm to enjoy the event to the fullest. If the weather is good enough, we will be outside on the patio. If not, we will reserve inside for ticketed guests. This is a ticketed event, advanced tickets are required to guarantee a spot. Tickets are $10 (plus tax and fees) to cover the cost of entertainment. Please select one of two dining options, prix fixe or a la carte when purchasing your ticket. For this event we will have two dining options and we will not be serving our regular Dinner menu. Please purchase your ticket according to the type of meal that you would like to purchase.

Prix Fixe Menu:

5 courses

1. Stuffed Pepper Soup

2. Teriyaki Shish Kabobs (pork and chicken with vegetables and pineapple)

3. Grilled Ranch Potatoes with cheese, bacon and green onion

4. Key West Flank Steak served with rice, beans, salad and plantains 

5. Key lime pie

A la carte menu

1. Key West Flank Steak served with rice, beans and plantains for a delicious Key West-inspired meal

2. Lemon dill haddock with rice, beans and grilled ranch potatoes

3. Bay Burger and grilled ranch potatoes

4. Conquered Cape Split Burger with grilled ranch potatoes

5. Black Bean Burger with grilled ranch potatoes

6. Social Club Chicken Burger with grilled ranch potatoes

7. Bowl of Seafood Chowder

8. Teriyaki Tofu Avocado Buddha Bowl

Please select your meal type in advance when purchasing your advanced ticket. Substitutions will not be permitted during the dinner.

Our style is casual and we encourage you to dress in layers since we are near the ocean and the weather can get cool near sundown! Shirts and shoes required please! Weather permitting, we will be dining outside so please dress according to the weather by the Bay of Fundy!
