Cooking with Fire Soul Food Dinner Dance with Mark Riley & Band

Part of our Cooking with Fire Series, come enjoy our Subversive Soul Food Dinner Dance.

On Friday nights this summer, our outdoor kitchen is entirely powered by wood fire and everything is cooked to order. Each Friday we bring you the best local produce available from producers and suppliers in Kings County. We work with the best fresh local meat, seafood, fruit and vegetables available to deliver a very special dining-by-fire experience. We also bring you the best local talent performing live music between 6pm and 9pm ... and we highly encourage dancing.

If we're outside, we encourage you to dress according to the weather because we don't have much shade or shelter on the patio!

Tickets Required. $20 + HST and fees per person, minimum 2 people. Purchase advance tickets online.

A set Cooking with Fire menu will include: 

5 Course Dinner + Band  (For pricing see our Cooking with Fire menu page on our website: https://www.thelongtablesocialclub.com/menus). By purchasing a ticket, you agree to purchase a set meal as outlined on our Cooking with Fire Fridays menu. Drinks at additional cost. 

$65 + tax 5-course tasting menu

1. Cornbread fries with honey-sage sauce

2. Grilled peaches with gruyere cheese

3. Mac & Cheese

4. BBQ crusted haddock on candied yams with collard greens with bacon bits

5. Banana pudding with whip cream

Entertainment: Mark Riley & Band 

The Mark Riley Project is a five-piece blues, funk and soul band created by Mark Riley. We will have a smaller, more intimate trio for you that includes Mark and two band members. 

A former member of the Nova Scotia Mass Choir, Mark still performs as a Gospel artist and also fronts another 15-piece band. The band performs throughout the Atlantic provinces at concerts, festivals and other venues. 

Mark is originally from Lake Loon, Nova Scotia. A small community just outside of Dartmouth. He started out singing gospel music at the Baptist Church in Cherrybrook, NS. Upon moving to Toronto Mark pursued his music endeavors recording and performing. Mark also has credits for a film soundtrack, 1 CD, performed on 2 Compilation CDs and is also a multi-instrument player and vocalist. Mark`s true passions are Jazz and Gospel music.

Mark now resides just outside of Wolfville, Nova Scotia and is a former tenor and soloist of the Nova Scotia Mass Choir, Cherrybrook Mass Choir, and the Nova Gospel Ensemble. Mark also performs with the Mark Riley Project, PM Blues, The Praise Messengers, Shoulder to Shoulder and The High Tide Shuffle Jazz Crew.
